#COVID-19 Lessons

At Digital Insure, the long lockdown period confirmed the effectiveness of the technological choice made long before the COVID-19 episode.

Richard Thibault, fondateur de Digital Insure

“Today, the company’s employees, partners, and clients are mobile. Therefore, everything must be accessible in mobile conditions, even applications and data for internal use only. Internal and external processes must also be fully digitized, not only initially but also as they evolve. This must therefore be an essential rule: there can be no exception, not even a temporary one,” says Richard Thibault, co-founder and CIO of Digital Insure.

“I recall having already discussed the possibility of a pandemic and wondering then about the benefit of maintaining a fallback site for staff, of having dormant premises in anticipation of a potential incident at our site. We therefore chose to use remote work as the primary solution for our business continuity plan (BCP), and we have been successfully testing this plan annually for 2 years. It is thanks to this early anticipation that we experienced no problems during this crisis.”

What solution for maintaining a high level of security in a 100% remote work environment?

“Security is one of the most significant risks for a company, and it intensifies during periods of remote work. Unfortunately, nothing is static in this area, and we must maintain a constant effort of monitoring and analysis to prevent any vulnerability that can arise at any time!”

Did you encounter any problems during this complicated period?

“No major problems; we were able to find the solutions and choose the appropriate tools. We remain on alert 24/7, aware of new techniques, anticipating potential attacks; we maintain a maximum level of security.”
