NewAlpha Asset Management, through its FinTech* fund, makes its first AssurTech investment by leading the fundraising round, jointly with a major global reinsurer, for the benefit of Digital Insure.
Founded in Paris by Fabrice Couturier, Jean Orgonasi, and Richard Thibault, Digital Insure aims to become a European leader in provident AssurTech within 5 years, thanks to a comprehensive digital offering developed since 2013 for individual borrower insurance (ADE) through its subsidiaries:
Distribution:
Services:
The company will leverage the fundraising to accelerate its growth, invest in new technological innovations, expand its range of products and services, and extend its operations in Europe.
The timing is particularly opportune as all insurance and banking players are working on digitizing their processes: Digital Insure offers an excellent solution already operational with French insurance leaders. Furthermore, the regulatory environment is particularly favorable to individual borrower insurance, a sector in which BPSIs, a Digital Insure subsidiary, has become one of the leaders three years after its launch.
“Our solutions enable our insurer and broker partners to optimize their operational processes, gain responsiveness, and improve the satisfaction of distributor users or end customers, three decisive elements in a competitive environment that will intensify significantly,” state Jean Orgonasi and Fabrice Couturier, co-founders of Digital Insure.
“We were impressed by the strong growth of this Insurtech and the technical expertise of its founders,” states Jonathan Cohen Sabban, Managing Director at NewAlpha Asset Management.
“Digital Insure has demonstrated the effectiveness of its technological, operational, and legal innovations applied to borrower insurance. These are major assets to foster the significant developments expected with the entire ecosystem of insurers – reinsurers – brokers,” adds Lior Derhy, Managing Partner at NewAlpha Asset Management, responsible for Private Equity.
