The jury of the FINANCE INNOVATION global competitiveness cluster, in partnership with DIGITAL INSURE, awards LIBEO the 2019 “FINTECH OF THE YEAR” award, and the Cluster labels 36 new financial startups during its annual Fin&Tech Community event.<\/p>

During its flagship Fin&Tech Community event on January 14, 2020, the Jury of the FINANCE INNOVATION global competitiveness cluster, in partnership with DIGITAL INSURE, awards LIBEO the 2019 “FINTECH OF THE YEAR” AWARD, a platform for the paperless management and payment of supplier invoices. reciTAL, an artificial intelligence software publisher specializing in automatic language processing, wins the Jury’s “FAVORITE” award, presented in partnership with Finastra. <\/p>

Fin&Tech Community is also an opportunity to present the 36 new Fintechs labeled by the Cluster this year and the new version of the mapping of innovative projects since its creation in 2007.<\/p>

FINTECH OF THE YEAR Award, presented by DIGITAL INSURE<\/strong><\/p>

LIBEO thus succeeds STRATUMN, the 2018 competition winner. Created in January 2019 by Pierre Dutaret, Je\u0301re\u0301my Attuil, and Pierre-Antoine Glandier, LIBEO streamlines payments between companies. The SaaS platform allows administrative and financial departments (DAF) and chartered accountants to instantly digitize their supplier invoices, centralize them, and pay them directly from the platform without having to enter an IBAN: payment is made using a simple email. This is a strategic priority for financial departments, enabling major productivity gains and improving payment terms, which is the main cause of many business failures in France. <\/p>

It was before an exceptional Jury composed of 31 members representative of the financial industry that the 8 finalists – ABOUT GOODS, DEJAMOBILE, ELOA, INCUBE, LIBEO, LIMONETIK, RECITAL, and TACOTAX – defended their applications.<\/p>

“The support for all innovative projects in the financial sector, from their creation in France to their international expansion, has been embedded in our DNA since the Cluster’s creation in 2007. The 5th edition of this competition aims to highlight the talent, technological innovations, creativity, and energy of French Fintechs by rewarding the most promising ones. Once again this year, we are delighted with the innovation, both technological and in terms of usage, and the quality demonstrated by LIBEO as well as by the seven other finalists,” comments Joe\u0308lle Durieux, CEO of FINANCE INNOVATION.<\/p>

The award is presented by DIGITAL INSURE, a French fintech labeled by the cluster in 2014, which has since experienced very strong growth in the borrower insurance market. Fabrice Couturier, founder of DIGITAL INSURE, the sponsor of the FINTECH OF THE YEAR award, states: “I am very proud to participate in this major event: it is a unique opportunity to meet innovative startups and discover new talents. I am particularly happy to present the 2019 Fintech of the Year award to LIBEO, which offers a simple, seamless, and secure service, perfectly aligning with Digital Insure’s ongoing approach.” <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

36 FINTECHS LABELED IN THE SECOND HALF OF 2019<\/p>

During the Fin&Tech Community, the cluster awarded 36 labels, thus recognizing these fintechs. Each year, the FINANCE INNOVATION Cluster sources and labels the best financial startup projects through expert committees composed of executives from large groups, distributed among its 6 strategic sectors: Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, Real Estate, Accounting and Consulting Professions, and Social and Solidarity Economy. Created by the State and combining the strength of its LABEL with the dynamism of its teams, the Cluster is a general interest cluster and trusted third party, guaranteeing quality support by connecting Fintechs with large industrial and financial companies, research laboratories and academic centers of excellence, and investors. <\/p>

The cluster lists 612 labeled fintechs since its creation, 85% of which are still active. It recently published their mapping. <\/p>

Building sustainable finance with startups <\/strong><\/p>

The “FINTECH OF THE YEAR” award and the labels conclude a busy year 2019 for the FINANCE INNOVATION Cluster. Indeed, “according to a review conducted by the Cluster in 2019 on the pool of 570 labeled Fintechs since 2007, over 9,000 jobs have been created, and the Cluster’s support has enabled over one billion euros to be raised in private funds,” explains Joe\u0308lle Durieux. France records very good figures globally regarding Fintech fundraising: over 354 million euros raised in the first half of 2019. <\/p>

In 2020, the Cluster aims to accelerate partnerships between financial industry players and finance startups. The “FINTECH OF THE YEAR” award is a major event in France that fosters the proliferation and sharing of innovations among all stakeholders in a rich and rapidly evolving financial ecosystem, aiming for more agile, transparent, and accessible finance. <\/p>

The extraordinary dynamism of Fintechs and the sharing of their innovations with 31 financial experts and managers represent positive and constructive actions for the transformation and competitiveness of the financial industry”: “Congratulations to LIBEO, which contributes to making finance accessible to all,” emphasizes Bernard Gainnier, President of FINANCE INNOVATION.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>
